Proff.dk retrieves data from the CVR register (the Danish Central Business Register) and gives you access to information about all Danish companies:

Method 1: Search for a specific company
If you know a company you want to learn more about, you can look it up:
- Go to proff.dk
- Type the company name in the search field (you don't need the full name)
- Click on the relevant company
- See information about address, size, industry, etc.
Method 2: Find similar companies
Have you found an interesting company? Then you can easily find others that are similar.
- Open the company's page on Proff.dk
- Click on "Find lignende" (Find similar)
- Adjust the criteria (geography, industry, size)
- Click "Vis firma" (Show company) to see the results
You now get a list of companies similar to the one you started with. Perfect for expanding your company list.
Method 3: Search by industry
If you know which industry you want to work in, you can search directly:
- Go to proff.dk and click on "Segmentering" (Segmentation)
- Click on "Brancher" (Industries)
- Search for your industry in the free text field
- Select relevant industries from the list
- Narrow down geographically (select region or municipality)
- Click "Vis virksomheder" (Show companies)
Method 4: Search by company size
Some job types are primarily found in larger companies (HR, finance, IT, etc.). Here you can search by size:
- Go to proff.dk and click on "Segmentering"
- Select number of employees (e.g., minimum 100)
- Narrow down geographically
- Click "Vis virksomheder"
Tip: Start with minimum 2 employees – there are many sole proprietorships with 0 employees.
